THE RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS
3/4 c Vodka
1 1/2 c Apple Cider
Blake’s used here – just go with the local good stuff!
1 Bottle Ginger Beer
I use Reed’s All Natural. It’s great even on its own.
Squeeze of Lemon Juice
Lots of Ice
Fresh Cranberries & Apple Slices for garnish
I keep fresh cranberries in the freezer for drink garnishes all season long.
TOOLS
2 Copper Mule Mugs
Pitcher
Long Cocktail Spoon
THE MOVES
- Fill each mug 3/4 of the way with ice. Crushed is best if you want to get fancy.
- Mix cider, vodka and lemon squeeze in pitcher. Pour between two mugs.
- Top each with ginger beer straight from the bottle.
- Float cranberries and apple slices on top.
ENJOY!
WHY YOU NEED THIS RECIPE:
Because you’re Fall AF but it’s almost October and it’s still 90 degrees out. You’re determined to make a bonfire and enjoy it, even if it means a cold shower right after.
A few months from now when it’s too cold outside, you’ll bring this drink inside and pretend you’re back to that one September when it was too effing hot for apple-pie-baking.
Bonus: if you’re lucky enough to live in a killer apple state like I do – you’ve got another way to squeeze the goodness into your day (and night.)
We hope you enjoy these as much as we did last weekend!
